The WSET (Wine & Spirits Education Trust) courses are ideal for wine enthusiasts, trade professionals, or those interested in entering the industry. For professionals and consumers alike, the WSET courses provide an easy-to-understand, professional approach to learning about wine regions and wine styles in a comprehensive way. You will also learn how to systematically taste wines in a way that sets you apart as we taste through the main grapes around the world. Its certifications are globally recognized and respected.

The WSET level 2 is designed for those who have some experience but have never formally studied wine. The course offers a structured approach to learning about wine. You will increase your confidence in tasting and describing wine as well as your ability to know how to read labels and select wines. These skills are useful for business or pleasure as you quickly become the smartest wine person in your social circle. Wine tasting is part of every class.

Learn the Systematic Approach to Tasting and understand how to assess color, flavors, structural components, quality and more.

Understand Grape growing and winemaking and see how these dramatically impact how a wine tastes.

Gain a global palate as we discuss and taste wines from the main regions around the world.

Learn how to identify the main grapes, like Chardonnay, Grenache, Syrah, as well as local ones like Albarino or Nebbiolo - all part of the curriculum!

Sparkling, Sweet and Fortified wines are also explored in depth.

Service, Storage, and food and wine pairing are also important parts of the course.
WSET Level 2 San Diego
In-person classes will take place at

Mondays, 6-10pm
Feb 3, 10, 17, 24, Exam Mar 10
Early bird rate of $850 and is all-inclusive (instruction, books, live exam, and tasting of over 30 wines).
Note: for the online exam option, it is an additional $30.
WSET Level 2 Temecula
Weekend Course at South Coast Winery + Resort, Temecula
Weekend Option at South Coast:
March 1 and 2
Sat and Sun, 9:30am-6:30pm
Note: Exam is in-person Sat 29th (or online if you can't make that date)
Get certified while immersing yourself in the vineyard and winery on-site. We have put together a stay-cation experience for you at South Coast.
Note: for the online exam option, it is an additional $30.

WSET Level 2 Online
Online classes will take place online on Zoom or via WSET online classroom. You choose! Links will be provided.
Upcoming dates on-going every 2 weeks. Please inquire.
$685 fee includes online exam, books, and instruction. You will have the option to use the online platform or zoom in. Wine is additional and if you'd like to purchase the same wines we taste in class you can purchase those below..
